January Update
Barkham Square, Hall Farm & Blagrove Proposals

We reported (22nd/23rd December last) on the Scoping Application made in respect of the proposed development at Barkham Square. We do stress that this is not a Planning Application – that will doubtless come later. However Barkham Parish Council have responded – and you may be interested to read what they have to say in the attached paper.

Barkham Parish Council however tell us that they have not responded to the Hall Farm Scoping Application referred to in our Alert of the 7th January. They feel that being outside the Parish any response by them would carry little weight.

Whilst we have touched on this before the Evendons Area Residents Association are continuing to seek support for opposing the developers’ appeal on the big (350 houses) Blagrove Lane/Evendons Lane proposal. Whilst outside the parish the development would have a significant adverse impact on the Parish – particularly in the volume of traffic using Evendons Lane/Edneys Hill – and, of course, Barkham Road. We have drawn attention to this before but a copy of their latest appeal is attached .

Kind Regards
