Correction - the reference number for the scoping application was incorrect although the link is correct. Apologies for the error.
This is not the planning application for Barkham Square.
It is a scoping request by the developer to the Secretary of State asking them to state it's written opinion (the Scoping Opinion) as to the scope and level of detail of the information to be provided in the Environmental Statement of the planning application.
The Secretary of State is required to consult with prescribed consultation bodies of which Wokingham Borough Council is one.
WBC is now seeking opinions from the community, presumably to feed into their reply to the Secretary of State.
Please read the attached documents in application 243114 on the WBC site and if you feel there are other areas that need to be taken into consideration please add your comments to the application. Comments must be made by January 4th.
More details about this process can be found at.

Please note this is the first time DevWatch have seen this type of consultation and the words above are our interpretation of what is on the planning inspectorate website.
On a more positive note WBC have rejected 2 planning applications
241667 – for 60 homes at 24 Barkham Ride
242421 – for 95 homes on land north of School Road, Arborfield
And Finally
The deadline for comments for the Blagrove Lane appeal 222306 has been extended to January 20th. See our previous alert for details. The Evendons Area Residents Association have secured legal support to help with their campaign to stop this development. They are seeking funding to support this - if you can donate, however small please go to https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/saveblagrove.
We wish you are very Happy Christmas and thank you for your support
