‍We advised you of plans to build homes off Blagrove Lane in a recent dev watch alert.
This is a significant development that will impact residents of Barkham.
The “Outline Planning Approval Consultation” has now been submitted to WBC.
The application number 222306 can be viewed on the council’s planning application pages –
https://planning.wokingham.gov.uk/FastWebPL/detail.asp?AltRef=222306
Comments can be submitted via this link and must be received by August 25th.
We encourage residents to submit their views to this proposal . Possible objections
include the following, but please use your own wording.
This development further erodes the green space between Barkham and Wokingham and detracts from the countryside.
Other points to consider:
-
Impact on traffic on Barkham Rd and at the level crossing in Wokingham
- the main entrance is proposed for the Barkham Road and is on a blind corner /
hidden dip opposite the thatched cottages
- Not compatible with proposals to improve the pedestrian environment on Barkham Road.
-
Not sustainable vis a vis local facilities, e.g schools and healthcare.Enter your text here.
