Further to our recent alerts on the proposed Solar Farm in Barkham, the Parish Council has asked us to send out a reminder that residents who wish to comment on the Barkham Solar Farm should complete the survey by 5 March, if they have not yet done so. The survey form can be accessed directly on : https://forms.gle/UoyJvwqh8k9UVZe39.
As a reminder, issues on which you may wish to comment include adequate screening, gaps, proximity to ancient monument sites, any effect on wildlife, footpaths etc. We should also lobby WBC to take this loss of Barkham green space into account when considering where housing developments are proposed or approved in Wokingham in the future.
As of this morning (1 March), there have now been 394 responses of which 248 are from Barkham residents and overall 55% are in favour of the Solar Farm, but with concerns.
