THE BLAGROVE/EVENDONS LANE APPEAL
The appeal against Wokingham Council’s refusal to grant consent for 350 houses and a care home (222306) has been successful. This is very disappointing news – particularly as the draft Local Plan had not identified this large site for development. Whilst the site lies outside Barkham Parish nevertheless the impact on traffic on Barkham Road, Evendons Lane and Edneys Hill will be significant.
The 35 page appeal decision can be accessed here.

LAND ADJACENT TO THE COOMBES, MOLE ROAD
In our Alert of the 28th April 2025 we reported on an application (250785) for retrospective consent an extensive equestrian operation. Wokingham Borough Council have just reported on an amendment – and extension – of the area on which planning consent is sought. Comments on the revised plans would need to be made by 17th June.
Kind Regards
