Crest Nicholson has submitted an application for approval of Reserved Matters pursuant to Outline Planning Consent O/2014/2280 (dated 02/04/2015). The Reserved Matters (access, appearance, landscaping, layout and scale) comprise details of a mixed-use District Centre including 200 dwellings, commercial floorspace (Use Class E), a pre-school, public open space, pedestrianised high street, and a mixed-use community centre building including cafe, associated community facilities and day nursery. New vehicular, pedestrian and cycle accesses to be provided with associated internal roads, parking, landscaping, drainage, substations, plant, bin and cycle storage.
The details of the application (230872) can be found on the WBC website:Â
https://planning.wokingham.gov.uk/FastWebPL/detail.asp?AltRef=230872.Â
Â
Comments are due by 16th May, although WBC have indicated they will accept comments until the end of May.
Whilst the provision of community facilities for Arborfield Green is welcomed, the application also includes 200 new dwellings. The additional dwellings will increase traffic and place additional strain on already stretched resources including health provision. Â
Kind Regards
